So writing the actual paper is the opposite of happy. But when it's done-- wow! The longer it was, the happier I am!
Exam week is also a special time of year when every university student can suddenly relate to every other university student. Conversations that would normally never happen suddenly do. Resource sharing becomes a nice courtesy. Spreading a citation site is equivalent to spreading the love.
There is some grand lesson to be had here, about stress and unhappiness and how those emotions open the way for more pleasant feelings of community...
But mostly I am just so glad to have finished the paper.
And now i can move on to more entertaining pursuits ;)
